Kristen Christensen

Kristen is dedicated to building a strong foundation of skill, discipline, character, and a genuine love for both the players and the game of volleyball. Her coaching philosophy emphasizes the importance of creating a positive environment where athletes can develop their technical abilities, confidence and teamwork.

Kristen earned a BS in Geology from BYU, where she was involved in the intramural volleyball program, both as a player and an official. In addition to her playing experience, she has received training from volleyball coaching programs Gold Medal Squared and Art of Coaching. Kristen has 3 years of experience coaching youth teams and has worked closely with children for 18 years.

As a player, Kristen competed as an outside hitter in both Middle School and High School volleyball. After graduating from high school in Brussels, Belgium, she continued to play in intramural sports and local tournaments.

Outside of coaching, Kristen has four kids—two boys and two girls—who also play volleyball at Areté. She loves helping young athletes build their skills and confidence in the sport.
